MARDAG Holdings Limited is 100% New Zealand owned and operated and provides innovative solutions for the electrical industry.
The company was established in 1988 when Anton van Rijssel and Marcus van Rijssel merged their electrical contracting companies to form MARDAG Holdings Limited and commenced trading as MDH Control Systems.
A few years later, Anton met with Hensel, a German manufacturer, to negotiate an exclusive agreement for the New Zealand market. The technical advantages of the Hensel product range was clearly evident and as a result, an exclusive trading agreement was signed in 1992. This contract proved to be the first of many agreements with leading global manufacturers.
Today, MARDAG exclusively represents over 35 European manufacturers in New Zealand and is focused on those that specialise in their respective fields. MARDAG is confident in the quality of its product range and ability to provide the industry with cost effective and innovative electrical solutions.

MEET THE TEAM
Credited with introducing some of Europe's leading electrical products to the New Zealand market, Anton has an eye for innovative solutions. He now manages the numbers and continues to help set the vision for the company.
Paul has been with MARDAG for over 14 years and looks after our Auckland and Northland regions. He's here to help if you have any questions about your account or require product support.
With more than 20 years experience in accounts management, Kate is responsible for the day to day running of our accounts. If you have any enquiries regarding payables or receivables, Kate will be happy to help you.
Myah brings an array of computer and administrative skills, together with a willingness to learn. Myah assists Rebekah in the Warehouse and provides the friendly voice when you call us.
Having worked in the electrical industry since age 14, Marcus brings a wealth of technical skill and experience to the company. With a specialist background in control systems, Marcus manages product import, sales and marketing.
Business Development Manager
Lionel has extensive experience with over 40 years in the electrical industry. His knowledge and expertise will help you find innovative solutions and provide technical support when you need it.
Rangi is an integral part of our Warehouse team. With over 20 years experience in product and service delivery, Rangi manages product assembly and ensures your orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Anna works part-time in the Warehouse doing a variety of jobs. Anna’s administrative and organisation skills assist us with stock control, marking/printing and general warehouse duties.
Treena brings day to day business management experience together with over 20 years as Founding Director of a non-profit organisation. Wife of Founding Owner Marcus, Treena has been part of the MARDAG family for over 30 years.
With more than 20 years of customer service and service delivery experience, Rebekah is responsible for the operation of the Warehouse. She can assist with your product availability and order enquiries.
Oliver divides his part-time employment working alongside the management and sales teams, offering assistance in marketing and administrative support. And is an aspiring footballer playing in the Wellington region.
Bella regularly joins us on-site, providing added security and pest control.
